Have you ever found yourself needing to delete a large number of posts from your Facebook page? Maybe you’re planning a rebranding, or you simply want to clean up old and irrelevant content. Either way, the process can be quite frustrating. But don’t worry, we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to bulk delete Facebook posts using both the Meta Business Suite and Facebook Creator Studio. Check out the video or follow the steps below!
The Challenge with Deleting Posts in the Meta Business Suite
A few weeks ago, I encountered a roadblock while trying to delete multiple posts from a Facebook page. After navigating to the Meta Business Suite, I was able to pull up all the past posts I wanted to delete. But the problem arose when I tried to select multiple posts to delete.
For instance, even if I had four posts I wanted to delete, I couldn’t select them all at once. Instead, I had to individually click on each post before I could delete it. This process proved to be time-consuming and inefficient, especially when dealing with a large number of posts.
Another issue I ran into was that in some cases, I couldn’t even access older posts from my page. Let’s say I wanted to delete posts from January 2020. When I filtered the posts by date, they simply didn’t show up in the Meta Business Suite.
Bulk Deleting Posts: The Meta Business Suite Way
Despite these challenges, there is a way to delete multiple posts in the Meta Business Suite. Here’s how you can bulk delete Facebook Posts.
Step 1: Navigate to your past posts.
Step 2: Individually click on each post you want to delete.
Step 3: Once you’ve selected all the posts, click on ‘Delete Posts’.
You’ll then get a notification that the selected posts will be permanently deleted. While this method works, it can be quite tedious, especially if you have hundreds or even thousands of posts to delete. Unfortunately, the Meta Business Suite does not currently offer a bulk select option for deleting posts.
Bulk Deleting Posts: The Facebook Creator Studio Way
After struggling with the Meta Business Suite, I discovered another method for bulk deleting posts โ using the Facebook Creator Studio. While this platform also has its quirks, it does allow you to search for old posts and delete them in bulk.
Here’s how you do it:
Step 1: Navigate to the Facebook Creator Studio.
Step 2: Use the search function to find the posts you want to delete. You can filter by date, ID, description, etc.
Step 3: Select all the posts you want to delete.
Step 4: Click on ‘Delete Posts’.
The challenge with the Creator Studio is that sometimes, when you filter by date, no posts show up. But don’t panic โ they’re still there! Simply go back to the Meta Business Suite, confirm that the posts are indeed there, then return to the Creator Studio and try again.
Conclusion
Deleting a large number of Facebook posts can be a daunting task, but with patience and the right tools, it can be done. Whether you choose to use the Meta Business Suite or the Facebook Creator Studio, the key is to remain patient and persistent. Happy cleaning!
