Adding Music to Instagram Posts
To add music to an Instagram post, start by selecting the image or video you’d like to post. Once you’ve chosen your media and made any necessary adjustments, click ‘Next’ until you reach the caption screen. Here, you’ll see the option to add music. Click on ‘Add Music’, and a library of songs will appear.
You can search for specific songs or browse by genre or mood. Once you’ve found the perfect track, select it and adjust the clip duration to your liking. You can choose a snippet as short as 30 seconds or as long as 90 seconds. When you’re happy with your selection, click ‘Done’. Your song will be added to your post, and you can finish up by writing your caption and sharing your post.
Adding Music to Instagram Stories
Adding music to your Instagram Story is slightly different. Start by capturing or importing the image or video you’d like to use for your Story. After doing so, tap the sticker icon at the top of your screen, then scroll down until you see the ‘Music’ option.
Similar to adding music to a post, you can search for a specific song or browse by genre or mood. After choosing your song, you can adjust the clip duration from 5 to 15 seconds. Once you’re satisfied, click ‘Done’. The song will be added to your Story, and you can move the music sticker around to wherever you’d like it to appear.
Adding Music to Instagram Reels
Adding music to an Instagram Reel is similar to adding music to a Story, with a few key differences. To add music to a Reel, tap on the ‘Audio’ option at the top of the Reels camera screen. This will open up the Instagram music library, where you can search for a specific song or browse by genre or mood.
Once you’ve chosen your song, you can start recording your Reel. Unlike in Stories and posts, the music plays as you record, allowing you to sync your video content with the music in real-time. After recording, you can review your Reel and make any necessary adjustments before sharing it with your followers.
