Changing Instagram Theme on Desktop
Firstly, ensure you’re logged into your Instagram account on your desktop. If you’re using an iPhone, you’ll want to navigate to your phone’s settings to make this change. However, for desktop users, all changes will be made within the Instagram platform itself.
To change the theme, navigate to the bottom right of your screen. You’ll find an icon with three horizontal lines, often referred to as the ‘hamburger’ icon. Click on this icon to reveal more options. Here, you’ll find several options including ‘Settings’, ‘Your Activity’, ‘Saved’, and ‘Switch Appearance’.
For the purpose of changing your theme, focus on ‘Switch Appearance’. It’s important to note that the placement of this option may vary depending on updates to Instagram’s user interface.
Once you click on ‘Switch Appearance’, you’ll notice an option that says ‘Dark Mode’. By toggling this on, you instantly activate the dark mode theme on your Instagram. The change is immediate, and your entire Instagram interface will switch to a sleek, dark theme.
If at any point you wish to revert to the classic white theme, the process is just as simple. Navigate back to ‘Switch Appearance’ and toggle off the ‘Dark Mode’ option. This action will immediately switch your theme back to light mode.
