- Tap the “Create” button or “+” icon (on the top) then choose “Reel.” You can also swipe left on the home page of your newsfeed to get straight into “Create Mode”.
- Now you are ready to start recording! Tap the camera icon, next tap the circle at the bottom of the screen and hold it down as long as you would like your video clip to last (up to 60 seconds). When you let go of the circle, your recording will stop automatically. If this isn’t what you wanted, don’t worry – just press “Retake” until it looks just right. You can also start by tapping any of the other icons, like music, templates, and more, or select a video or picture to use for your reel.
- Once you’ve got it just how you want it, click “Next”. Now it’s time for some editing! Here you can add music, effects, text, and more. You’ll see all these on the right of the screen as you can see below. Once everything looks good press “Next” to create a caption for your reel by describing it and also adding hashtags if you’d like to. Post your reel by tapping “Share now” or hit “Save” to save the draft if you’d like to make changes later on.
Creating & Uploading Reels from Your Desktop PC
- To make a reel on your desktop PC, open up Google Chrome or Firefox web browser and go directly to www.facebook.com. You can create a reel from Meta Business Suite or in Creator Studio.
- Click “Content”.
- Then click on “Create New Reel” then select a Video from your desktop folder.
- You can add captions.
- After that click “Edit” if you want to add audio and text, crop or trim the video.
- Then click “Share” to post, “Schedule” or “Save Draft” if needed for future edits! Voila—it’s that simple!
